We are developing a common vision for the area, aiming to deliver impact, spiritual renewal and growing faith.

Thame Church serves the bustling and growing town of Thame and the nearby village of Towersey. The three parishes are working together to reach out to our community. We long to see lives changed through God’s love and by living out what we believe.

Our evolving vision aims to lead to spiritual renewal of:

• our life in Christ: through prayer, worship, and study of scripture.

• our spiritual intimacy with God: overflowing with the love of Christ, and able to give reasons for the hope that is in us, empowered by the Holy Spirit.

• our community: living in companionship with those not connected to the Church.

• our world: supporting those working for justice and fairness in society, especially the poor and marginalised.

• the earth: to take seriously what it means to be stewards of the environment and to be at the heart of local projects to address climate change and biodiversity loss.

Embedded in our vision are the three dimensions of a life of faith – Up, In and Out.

Some of the ways we seek to embody these are:

• Encouraging a culture of discipleship through participation in Home Groups, Personal Discipleship Plans (PDPs) and Teaching programmes.

• Engaging with our community, building relationships, and meeting practical needs.

• Meeting spiritual needs through programmes such as Alpha, but also sharing the good news in our everyday conversations.

• Investing in Children & Families and building our Youth provision.

• Creating opportunities for corporate Prayer
